Privacy and data

Last updated: 21 September 2026

This page explains what bff.envisioning.com collects, why, and what happens to that data. Envisioning is the controller of the data described here under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018).

The Você Conhece? game

The game asks for no sign-up, name or e-mail. At the start, you say whether you are Brazilian. Each answer (know or don't know) is stored with the artefact rated and the time.

To tell one run from another, the site creates a random identifier and keeps it in a cookie (bff_session) for seven days. Stored with it are the language, the country of the connection (inferred from the network, no IP address stored), the device type and the browser. These serve to aggregate results and detect abuse, not to identify anyone.

The results published at /resultados are always aggregate. No individual row is shown.

My schedule on the programme

Starring sessions happens in your browser (localStorage), with nothing sent to the server. Only when you ask for a calendar link does the site store the starred sessions and return a random token. The token carries no name, e-mail or other personal data. Anyone holding the link can see that schedule, so treat it as a private link.

Suggestion and contact forms

The artefact suggestion form asks for name, e-mail and, optionally, affiliation. We use them to assess the suggestion and, if needed, reply. They never appear on a public page.

The contact form and the newsletter sign-up send data to Envisioning's own system (core.envisioning.com), the same one envisioning.com uses. This site keeps no copy. The newsletter is only sent after confirmed opt-in.

Bot check

The forms and the start of the game go through Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the request comes from a real browser. Turnstile may process technical connection data under Cloudflare's policy.

Usage statistics

We use Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and identifies no one. It records pages visited, outbound clicks and usage events (for example, when someone starts the game), always in aggregate.

Cookies and local storage

bff_lang keeps the chosen language (one year). bff_session identifies a game run (seven days). localStorage keeps your starred sessions, your game history and the schedule token. None of this is used for advertising or shared with third parties for that purpose.

Third-party services

The site runs on Vercel. The database is Supabase. Fonts come from Google Fonts and venue maps, where shown, from Google Maps. Each of these processes technical data about your connection under its own privacy policy.

Programme participants' data

The Brasil Futures Forum 2026 programme shows each participant's name, organisation, biography and sessions, as published by the forum's production team. This data comes from the event's production spreadsheet. Participants' contact details and ID documents stay with the forum's production team and are neither published nor stored on this site.

If you are a participant and want your page corrected or removed, write to us through the contact form.

Retention

Aggregate game and schedule data is kept while the Potência Brasil research is active. Suggestions and contacts are kept as long as needed to assess and reply.

Your rights

You can ask for confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymisation or deletion of your data under article 18 of the LGPD. Because the game and schedules store no identity, we can only locate data tied to an e-mail given on a form. Make the request through the contact form.
